One of the worst things about being at the end of the Engine arm is the rubbish - we see everything in the canal. From fruit, the usual coconuts, plastic bags, though to used condoms, beer cans, empy bottles - you name it. Today was not too bad - here are a couple of pictures.

Working on the boat and stuff....
We have been quiet on here lately, mainly because having decided to have a mooring for winter, it has given us the opportunity to spend time working on the boat, getting deliveries and to generally make loads of rubbish that I can dump outside the boat whilst 'getting on with it' !
We are are also doing a lot of background work on the websites, so they have been up and down a bit over the last week - mind you now is the time over Christmas to do it!
We had an article published in Graphics Display World -inbeteen all the other madness, as well as getting the machine serviced and tweeked which has done wonders to the print quality.
Anyhow - over and out until after Christmas - have a good one!

Thought this was quite funny.... for all those that enjoy BW bashing
Well for those that enjoy a bit of BW bashing, I found this recently..... a picture of BW Chairman Tony Hales alongside every one's favourite Simpson's villain Mr Burns...
Well I thought there was a likeness!

Time to do some work....
Over the last two weeks I have been busy refitting the kitchen. As always these things should be straightforward but, hey, wrong deliveries, broken parts, waiting for replacements all added to the long list of delays. Anyhow, all is now in place. Inbetween the waiting I have also fittted a back boiler to our squirrel. Busy Busy!
So now i'm doing some work - it's great to have a rest! We have just created a simple website for our friends at All Wills & Trusts (Charles and Anne Foster - boaters of course!)
http://boaterswillcompany.co.uk/
So if you need a Will (not me!) then give these guys a call - they are very reasonalbly priced and can recommend them personally as they did mine.

At mooring for winter
It's get some work done on the boat time.... So we have taken a mooring so we can get deliveries, work without moving and just get on with it.....
We are at Smethwick, not the lovely countryside but at least it's secure and has facilities right next to the boat.

On way into Birmingham.....
Well it's the nice trip into Birmingham for us now - along with Geraldine & Michael Prescott on Cheese Boat 1. we are just moored up at the Kingsley Pub on the Birmingham & Fazeley for tonight, then it's off first thing in the morning. With the stoppage on the Aston flight, we are going to have to go on the Grand Union and Digbeth branch. We are going to risk stopping off somewhere on the way (couple of places in mind) rather thank the usual mad dash.
Why is it fishermen insist on fishing off the mooring bollards? Everytime we come through curdworth it's the same...normally they are on the lock landings!
